If you have not stopped in at Bryan's Smokehouse lately, you are missing out on some of the best food and service in Texas. I was greeted at the door by Zach Devaney, a young man that made sure everything was perfect during my visit.

Manhattan is not your typical Lufkin restaurant. Located in the basement of the Perry Building, a 50?s era office building and one of Lufkin?s few multi story buildings. Originally this space was the cafeteria for all the offices in the building back in the heyday of downtown Lufkin.

Anyone who know’s me realizes that Mexican food is my favorite. Therefore it’s hard to find a bad Mexican Restaurant in my book. On my visit to El Chico’s I found the service and food to be good.
