This series of books about a Botswana woman who decides to open her own detective agency, even though she has no training or experience, is the most delightful, engaging series of books I have ever read. Never before have I literally closed the last page of a book and opened it right back to the beginning to start all over again.

The characters in this series are rich and real, but homespun and charming. The happenings are interesting but the books are not plot driven. The reader becomes involved in the very thought life of the characters and begins to desire this quiet, people oriented lifestyle. Some readers (such as this one) have even been known to take up characters' habits, like drinking red bush tea! Ummmm Come down to Heritage Antiques and I'll introduce you to this tea! Then you may even take a journey to Botswana through "No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency."
