No 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, by Alexander McCall Smith
This series of books about a Botswana woman who decides to open her own detective agency, even though she has no training or experience, is the most delightful, engaging series of books I have ever read. Never before have I literally closed the last page of a book and opened it right back to the beginning to start all over again.

Walk Back The Cat - By Pamela Binnings Ewen
"This rich, enveloping novel draws the reader in and won't let go. For an all too brief time, readers will find themselves living in another time, another place. Like Harvey's healing medicine, like Barbara's inspiring music, this fiction is a kid of gift as well." --

The Moon in the Mango Tree- By Author:Pamela Binnings Ewen
"...rich and heartfelt...prose is laudably rich in specific and colorful detail...Ewen is a talented writer, and this is a strong addition to Christian fiction."

City of the Dead - By Author: T. L. Higley
Can he restore justice to the city before his careful life and work are destroyed, or will a mysterious people and their strange God uncover the secret past that Hemi has tried to forget?

The Duchess and the Dragon- By Author: Jamie Carie
Rising romance novelist Jamie Carie’s second book, The Duchess and the Dragon, tells the epic story of two unlikely soulmates who live worlds apart but soon meet and turn each other’s world upside down.

Willow - By Author: Carolyn Brown
The first book in The Promised Land Romance Series features the youngest Dulan. Willow arrives in St. Joseph, Missouri, just in time for her father's funeral. Upset because she had hoped to hear a deathbed confession, Willow is not thrilled about attending the service. As the pastor drones on, Willow wonders what she will do now for she had cut all family ties when she left Pennsylvania to see her deadbeat father. What surprises Willow the most is that there are only five women attending the service. Thinking her father was as bad as her relatives claimed, Willow decided he did not have any friends. Nothing could have been further from the truth. Yet to a young woman growing up without a father, this is what she was determined to believe.

GYPSY - By: Author Carolyn Brown
GYPSY is a light read for those lazy days. While the characters could have been more developed, the experiences are something to be enjoyed. The trek to the west was not an easy feat. The men had to provide the protection. Yet the women also had to be of stern stuff just as the women are portrayed in this series.
