Afternoon Tea at 3, Texas Style

Heritage Antiques (downtown, 110 W. Burke) invites one and all to their new Snack Cafe, home of the "Afternoon Tea at 3, Texas Style". We have tables, self-serve snacks, cold drinks, hot water for tea, etc., board games....we'll even chat with you if you forget to bring a friend!

Heritage Antiques Grand Opening

Our grand opening open house was a wonderful combination of nice people, good food, interesting merchandise and a dedication of the whole thing to God. Barbara Thompson from Main Street, Mike Maberry from Lufkin Connects, and Ashley Cook from Lufkin Daily News added dignitary status. :) Most of the dealers were able to be here for some of the day and their hard work and creativity in arranging their booths was touted by customers all day long.

Harmony Christian School - Open House

Harmony Christian School (HCS) had an open house for the congregation of Harmony Hill Baptist Church (HHBC) on Sunday, September 13, 2009. HCS' summer months was everything but boring! The staff of HCS moved furniture and boxed up belongings for the construction crew to tear out walls and add on to the existing school building. With only 2 days before Parent/Student Orientation night the teachers were scurrying to put things back together. In one day we had 5 different building inspections of which we had to pass in order to have students attend the first day of class on Wednesday, August 19, 2009. All inspections were successful and school began on time! The staff, students and parents are very thankful for HHBC for covering all the expenses of renovations and additions!

Music In The Park

The best kept secret in town, is the Thursday music night at the Rock House in Chambers park in Lufkin. Anyone can sit in and play with the group of young and old musicians. Enjoy music "The Way It Use Be" from 5:00PM til 8:00PM, every Thursday.Bluegrass, Country and Gospel music can be heard. By: Mike Maberry
