Cry Baby Creek
Jack Creek, a stream west of Lufkin, has, for years, been known as Cry Baby Creek, supposedly because a women and a baby died when their auto veered off a wooden bridge and fell into the steep creek. It's been told that if you visit the bridge at night, you may hear a baby cry! There are many tales in reference to the bridge, you will just have to take a visit (AT NIGHT) to see if they are true! Take care not to venture too far from your vehicle. There could be baby hand prints on your windows when you return. "Believe it or Not"?
